Back in 2021 we reached out to our friend and artist Lennard Kok to collaborate on some kind of publication.

We quickly got excited by the idea of creating a traditional body of work showcasing most of Lennard’s drawings. Projects, objects and works otherwise only shown digital or in one space now get a place to be viewed as actual drawings. Going back to the core of Lennard’s practice.

About Time looks back at 6+ years of work and contains a mix of personal drawings and commissioned work.

Approach
We wanted to create something that reflects Lennard’s personality and work. Quiet, to the point, with care and attention to detail. Most of the work is placed in full giving the viewer no distractions from the works.

Using a darker paper we created opportunities to elaborate on projects and experiences. Finally the book uses 35 project numbers rather than page numbers. These correspond with a detailed archive in the back.

With its finishes the book has a classical and thoughtfull feeling to it. It’s to the point, clear and consice, just like Lennard’s drawings.
