A spatial music campaign for one of Europe’s most renowned concert halls.
Brief
Aural Spaces is a unique experimental program that took place in the Recital Hall of the historic Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The sold-out three-day program explored the boundaries between space and sound, featuring the 4DSOUND installation and a line-up of many talented artists. Being a clash of the modern and the classical, the identity for Aural Spaces needed to be able to appeal to both worlds and audiences.

Approach
We went looking for ways to capture and visualize sound, and combine the modern aesthetics of the 4DSOUND installation with the classical allure of the Concertgebouw. From this search a typographic system emerged, emphasizing the movement and volumes of sound as well as the way the music is experienced by interacting with a spatial installation.
