Brief
Kyle Weeks is an Amsterdam based photographer born in Namibia. His work is heavily influenced by his roots in Africa. Resulting in self initiated, personal projects and commercial commisions. Kyle came to us to create a new portfolio experience showcasing his diverse archive containing photography and film. With this we created an extra layer showcasing Kyle’s newly released project ‘Good News’.

Approach
Based on a simple column grid the website uses very minimal typography to guide the viewer through a gallery like space. The mouse cursor is replaced by type switching from next to previous depending on navigation. Leaving only the images and type as content. Photography is placed on white backdrops working with the size of the work whereas film takes up the entire screen for a theater like experience.
